Frequently Asked Questions

Clear Answers Before You Book a Call

Start here if you want clear answers on how FHRC works, what we can help with, and what to expect from a India to Europe relocation conversation.

What does FHRC India do?

FHRC India helps students, skilled professionals, nurses, and skilled trades workers in Punjab and across India move to Europe through legal, employer-backed pathways. We focus on profile assessment, country fit, employer matching, document and language preparation, relocation, and long-term residency strategy.

Who is this service for?

Our clients are typically aspirant students aged 17-22 in Punjab choosing Europe directly over saturated Canada/Australia routes, IT and engineering professionals (24-35) eligible for the EU Blue Card, nurses (GNM/B.Sc. Nursing) interested in Germany or Portugal, skilled trades workers (welders, electricians, hospitality, drivers), and families planning a phased relocation.

Are you based in Punjab?

Yes. FHRC India is headquartered in Punjab and serves clients across Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Patiala, Mohali, Bathinda, and the wider Punjab region - as well as other parts of India remotely.

How should I check Europe visa rules before applying?

Start with the official country source for the route you are considering, then compare your documents, funds, language level, occupation, and job offer against that route. FHRC helps you make that comparison before you spend heavily.

Which European destinations do you support?

FHRC starts with your profile rather than a fixed public country list. We review eligibility, employer fit, documents, timing, and family goals, then compare destination options that match your background and current legal pathways.

What is the Germany Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)?

A 12-month residence permit that lets qualified non-EU professionals enter Germany without a job offer to find work. Requires a minimum 6 points (education, experience, language, age, German ties), EUR 13,092 in a blocked account, and a EUR 75 fee. As of 2026, India is the #1 source country for the Chancenkarte. Processing has dropped to 4-6 weeks since the digital portal launch.

What should I know about Portugal work routes?

Portugal may be relevant for some job-led plans, but the correct route depends on the visa category, employer, contract, documents, and current official requirements. FHRC helps you verify the route before you rely on an offer.

What is the EU Blue Card and who qualifies?

The EU Blue Card is a residence and work permit for highly qualified non-EU nationals. Germany 2026 thresholds: EUR 48,300 standard, EUR 45,934.20 for shortage occupations (STEM, IT, healthcare, engineering). IT specialists with 3+ years of relevant experience in the last 7 no longer need a degree.

I am a nurse. Can I work in Germany?

Yes. Germany has 30,000-40,000 nursing vacancies and an active recruitment pipeline for Indian nurses, including the GIZ-backed Triple Win programme. Indian qualifications go through Anerkennung and you typically need German B2. Average gross salary around EUR 4,000/month. Most employers follow an "employer pays" recruitment model.

Do I need to know German?

It depends on the country and route. Germany Opportunity Card accepts English B2 with German A1; full nursing registration in Germany requires German B2. Portugal's Job Seeker Visa is English-friendly to start; Portuguese A2 helps within 2 years. France often accepts English in tech roles. We map a language plan to your target country.

Can you guarantee a job, visa, or PR?

No. FHRC India does not guarantee jobs, visas, or permanent residence. Eligibility depends on each country's laws, the employer, your documentation, and current quotas. Anyone promising guaranteed outcomes is misleading you. We focus on legal, realistic, employer-backed pathways with full transparency on probability.

Do I need a job offer before contacting you?

No. Most clients start with our free assessment so we can review your background, qualifications, and timing before discussing employer matching or any visa route.

How is FHRC different from a typical migration agent?

Three differences: (1) We focus on employer-backed routes, with placement and profile fit reviewed before paperwork. (2) We use official country requirements rather than grey-market schemes. (3) We never guarantee outcomes; we give you a realistic probability assessment and a clear scope of what we will and will not handle.

How much does it cost to move to Europe?

Costs vary by destination, route, and employer arrangement. Expect government fees (e.g. EUR 75 Opportunity Card), language testing, document apostille and translation, blocked account funds where required (e.g. EUR 13,092 for Germany), travel, and initial housing. We help you plan total cost of move before you commit to any route.

I already paid an agent and got nothing. Can you still help?

Yes. We talk to many clients in this situation, especially in Punjab. The first step is an honest review of where you actually stand: documents you have, money already spent, eligibility for legal routes. We will tell you straight whether Europe is realistic and what an honest path forward looks like.

I was planning to go to Canada or Australia but it is harder now - what are my options?

Germany, Portugal, France, and other European countries may be worth comparing, but the right answer depends on your profile, documents, funds, occupation, and language readiness. We compare your previous plan side-by-side against realistic Europe routes.

Can my family join me?

Yes for most routes, but timing varies. Portugal allows family reunification immediately after the candidate starts employment. Germany allows spouse and children to join under defined conditions, with stronger rights under the EU Blue Card. France's Passeport Talent has built-in family rights.

What documents should I have ready?

Ideally: current resume, education certificates (10+2, degree, transcripts), work-experience letters, passport, IELTS/PTE/TOEFL or German certificate (if any), and any prior visa/refusal records. Originals are not needed at the assessment stage; clean scans are enough to start.

How long does the process take?

Highly variable. Germany Opportunity Card visa: 4-6 weeks (post-2026 digital portal). Portugal Job Seeker Visa: 2-3 months processing, then 120 days in country to find work, with most placements in 60-90 days. EU Blue Card with offer: 1-3 months. Nursing routes including German B2: typically 9-18 months end-to-end.

Do you provide legal immigration advice?

FHRC India provides pathway and process planning. Formal legal immigration advice is provided only by licensed counsel in India and the destination country. We work with qualified partners and refer cases that need formal legal opinion.

Is the website available in Hindi or Punjabi?

Yes. Use the language switcher (EN / हिन्दी / ਪੰਜਾਬੀ) at the top of any page. Translations are reviewed by native speakers - please tell us if you spot any error.
